Japan Trip – Day 4 – Tokyo Disneysea (東京ディズニーシー)
December 16, 200816 December 2008
Woke up slightly later, since we should make full use of the hotel room having spent a bomb on it.
Spent some time to pack up and stuff some of the stuff we got yesterday into the bags before checkout, and going over to Disneysea.
Had breakfast (instant noodles + milk) bought last night.
The soup texture feels more solid, than the normal watery stuff we get, really, normal instant bowl noodles we get in SG = no fight! Lose la.. why don’t we have nicer ones, even HK ones taste better than SG ones. Ranking now would be Japan > HK > SG.
Packed up after breakfast, and went to the bell desk to deposit our luggage while we go off to Tokyo Disneysea (東京ディズニーシー).
Our hotel stay comes with a complimentary pass to take the monorail towards the other Stations.
Arrived at the Disneysea station a few stops later, and were greeted by the Giant water globe at the entrance.
The 1st spot from the main entrance is the Mediterranean Harbor, which looks very Venetian.
Was a pretty sunny and clear day, which made the water glisten a lot, which also made the whole place a great photo taking spot.
Crossed over to the Mysterious Island over the water (that volcano place).
Spotted those 2 girls, really noticed many such young looking mums around, unless they happen to be Big Sisters.. which, I kinda doubt. Went to take the ride 20,000 Leagues under the Sea, which simulates a submarine going down, but which is actually dry, so it’s wet, yet it’s dry… lol.
Next up was Mermaid Lagoon along the way, the rides here are kiddy, but the main attraction would be Ariel, yep, the Little Mermaid, who had such a long Q… So we carried on walking, and reached the Arabian Coast, where it’s themed around Aladdin (& Sinbad).
Entered the town square area & popped by the Magic Lamp Theater, a 3D show involving some wizard, and the magic lamp.
Wandered around Arabia a little while while looking for food. Japanese girls really do love (and know how to) pose, dress up and do all sorts of other look pretty things.
And going along with the theme of the place, the restaurant here serves Indian styled food, ok.. more like lookalike, Indian Naan with Japanese tasting curry… interesting to say the least.
And what’s better than being lost after your meal? Next up… Lost River Delta, themed around the Amazon, and with it, Indy Jones and stuff.
Across the bridge lead us to Port Discovery, where we had a ride on some water spinning thing around geysers, no photography on it though..
Next to port discovery was the American Waterfront, where we also took a “cruise” around the park.
Finished one round, though we kinda missed quite a few rides, time’s short.. Qs are long.
Took the Disney Resort Line back to the Hotel to collect our luggage which we brought back to Andon to keep, before heading for Shibuya Tokyuu Inn where we would spend the night for our next day’s trip.
Noticed something interesting on the washing machines at Andon.
Also saw this intersting thing by Shibuya station, which was ticking by the second, just now idea if it was a monthly, weekly, or daily figure.
Had our dinner, Ramen!!
I must say, the ramen is really great! And it’s a big big big bowl, like lots of noodles, cheaper than a bowl at Ajisen’s in SG, for more. Noodles are just Q enough.
Loved the soup, as well as the egg, cuz it’s that kind of semi fully boiled kind, with the yolk still 3/4 solid, but still a little runny for that yum factor.
There’s a black sesame version, black soup anyone? Walked around the streets of Shibuya this time round after dinner.
Popped by HMV to get Ayu’s Green/Days single, which was just released, for Aya, and mananged to get a membership card, which gives us discounts, and seems to be international.
Saw a familiar red light on the way.
The nice thing is, we get to see the donuts being made fresh, and they individually wrapped each orignal glazed donut and handed them over to us free, before we even placed our order, talk about great service.
Popped by to 109 since Dear wanted to get some hair accessories, she ended with a furry beret, since I noticed that it cost the same as a rubber schrunchie. The bad thing was that the shops are already closing at this time. (~9pm)
So.. it’s back to the hotel.
