Windows 7 has officially launched on the 22nd. Went ahead and took the plunge over to Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. Damage was 243 for the OEM version. Installtion was a breeze at less than 30 mins, and everything just worked, all my hardware was detected, no need for me to install anything except for my x-fi drivers and nvidia ones. Response and overall smoothness was really great. Not to mention the eyecandy Aero glass and peek are really nice, but it helps that my system is more or less still topline. Windows experience index is at 6.9 out of 7.9 though that is due to my harddisk limitting it to 6.9. Perhaps a raptor or SSD would help this. But its neglible, can still live with some loading time. Harddisks ade still a limiting factor when it comes to computing speeds. System feels snazzier and ram is now finally able to be fully utilized at 6 GB instead of being capped at 3.x GB for the x86 system. So here marks the end of 7 years of using Win XP. Anyway pro will always have xp virtualization so, it’s still around in a sense

On a side note, I have completed reading 4/76 of my CFA text, yes.. I know I am slow.. damn slow.. but numerically speaking, its actually ~5%! (to be precise, its 5.2631………………..) So much for quantifying our answers and figures.

No idea.. i kinda just liked wordpress more, though I probably doubt I’d be blogging much anyway, lol..

This is a busy busy sememster, coupled with no DOTA cuz of the stupid spiky connection, no idea why, fast but spiky now, tradeoffs!

Been too hardworking recently.. but that’s a good thing I guess.

Here’s a list of stuff I need to do:

1. Apply for some jobs
2. Finish up halfway done applications
3. Finish my books (just because I bought them at Border’s for 3-for-2
4. Complete my CFA readings (way behind time on this)
